Informational Presentation on 2025 Street Paving and Sidewalk Repairs
LABEL
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommendation
Receive report and update on the Street Paving and Sidewalk Repair Programs.
Body
DISCUSSION:
Staff will provide an overview of ongoing efforts to advance street and sidewalk repairs throughout the City. Construction is being completed both by City street crews and through projects designed and contracted as part of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The City’s work has expanded due to additional funding made available through the new Measure G revenue.
In November 2024, Napa voters approved Measure G, which increased the citywide sales tax by 1% to fund high-priority projects and City services. Through outreach efforts and surveys, community members expressed a strong desire to prioritize the repair of streets and sidewalks. The tax went into effect on April 1, 2025, and significant road repair projects have been completed, are currently underway, or will begin soon. These include work on Coombs Street, Jefferson Street, within the Westwood Neighborhood, California Avenue, Trancas Street, and other locations.
