DISCUSSION:
The Measure G Citizen Oversight Committee bylaws include Article III - “Officers” and names a Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary as the three officers serving the Committee. The responsibility for the Secretary functions is delegated to the Assistant City Manager serving as the Staff Manager of the Committee. Article III, Section 2 of the bylaws state that the election of the Chair and Vice-Chair shall be held during the first meeting held each (fiscal) year.
Member Jill Techel served as the Chair for Fiscal Year 2025/26 and Member Benjamin Horne served as the Vice-Chair. Selection of the new Chair and Vice-Chair is at the discretion of the Committee. Attached to this agenda report is a list of the current members and their appointment terms for reference.
Today’s action item will result in the election of the Committee Chair and Vice-Chair for Fiscal Year 2026/27.
