Amendment No. 2 to Goserco Agreement for Dispatch Recording System

Approve and authorize the Chief of Police to execute on behalf of the City Amendment #2 to Agreement No. C2019 113 with Goserco, Inc. for Public Safety Dispatch 24-hour Communications Recorder System support for an additional three (3) years, in the increased amount of $41,334.97 for a total contract amount not to exceed $216,334.97.

DISCUSSION:

Goserco, Inc. implemented the Eventide NexLog Dispatch Recording System in 2019 and has provided a high level of system support services since implementation.

 

On April 30, 2019, the City Council approved a five (5) year Agreement with Goserco Inc.in an amount not-to-exceed $160,000.

 

On December 3, 2024, the City Council approved a one (1) year Amendment in the amount of $15,000 with a total contract amount not-to-exceed $175,000.

 

The 9-1-1 Communications Manager has identified a second Amendment to the Agreement is needed to acquire continued system support and maintenance services and recommends the City Council authorize the Chief of Police on behalf of the City to execute Amendment #2 to increase the total not-to-exceed amount from $175,000 to $216,334.97 by adding $41,334.97 for additional three (3) years of support services.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACTS:

This action will have no impact on the Police Department’s budget or fund balance.  Funds were budgeted through the normal budget process for FY25/26.

The total Amendment #2 amount is not-to-exceed $41,334.97 budgeted from general fund account:10021400 (PD Dispatch)- 53250 (software subscriptions).

 

CEQA:

The Chief of Police has determined that the Recommended Action described in this Staff report is not subject to CEQA, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060 (c).
