Body

DISCUSSION:

On November 2, 2021, the City Council approved Resolution No. R2021-106 authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract amendment to C2020-058 with Tyler Technologies, Inc. to provide Energov software, hardware and implementation services to upgrade the City’s software for land management including development permit processing.

Beginning in 2022, Representatives from the City Manager’s Office, the Community Development, Finance, Public Works, Fire, and Utilities Departments have been engaged in the implementation of this new software program and the City has hired a part-time staff person to provide overall project management.

Additionally licensing needs have been determined to allow more staff access to the software program.

This agreement covers all Tyler services. However, today’s proposed amendment increases the annual SaaS fees and adds additional permitting and GIS user software licenses, which will allow for additional user access.

FINANCIAL IMPACTS:

The proposed amendment to the agreement increases total annual cost to $30,268. Funding for this increased cost is available in the project budget (63013620-53250-40LANDMGMT-SERVICES).

CEQA:

The Assistant City Manager has determined that the Recommended Action described in this Agenda Report is not subject to CEQA, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c).
