Receive a Council Spotlight Presentation providing an overview of data initiative highlights from the Parks and Recreation Department.

DISCUSSION:

As part of a monthly “Spotlight” series, the Parks and Recreation Department will present an overview of the recent data initiatives completed by the Department, including comprehensive assessments and analyses of parks & facility visitation, park conditions, recreation participation, local socioeconomics and the urban forestry network. These data initiatives are intended to guide and prioritize the use of finite resources to effectively manage community assets and services, as well as maximize overall level of impact. As part of the presentation, specific projects and data insights will be presented to provide examples of active projects and programs.

The Parks and Recreation Director has determined that the recommended action described in this staff report is not subject to CEQA, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c).
