Approve the second reading and final passage, and adopt an ordinance amending Napa Municipal Code Title 9 to repeal section 9.04.040 and add Chapter 9.65 “Regulation of False Fire Alarms” to reduce the occurrence of false alarms.

DISCUSSION:

This is the Second Reading and Final Adoption of an ordinance amending Napa Municipal Code Title 9 to repeal section 9.04.040 and add Chapter 9.65 “Regulation of False Fire Alarms” to reduce the occurrence of false alarms.  The introduction and First Reading were held at the Regular City Council meeting on February 1, 2022.  If approved the Ordinance will become effective thirty days following adoption

 

FINANCIAL IMPACTS:

None

 

CEQA:

At their regular meeting on February 1, 2022, City Council determined that the Recommended Action described in this Agenda Report is not subject to CEQA, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c).
