Adopt a resolution establishing the 2024 Calendar for Regular City Council Meetings and City Holidays, and approving the cancellations of regular meetings of the City Council on January 2, 2024, July 2, 2024, and November 6, 2024.

DISCUSSION:
Establishing the City Council 2024 calendar year meeting dates provides the opportunity for City Council to approve necessary and/or recommended meeting cancellations.
City Charter Section 60 and Napa Municipal Code Section 2.04.050 state regular meetings of the City Council are set for the first and third Tuesday of every month, unless modified by resolution of City Council.
Staff has prepared a resolution for Council approval to cancel the regular meetings of City Council that were previously set for January 2, 2024, July 2, 2024, and November 6, 2024. The attached resolution cancels the meetings of January 2, 2024, July 2, 2024, and November 6, 2024 and establishes regular meetings for January 16, 2024, July 16, 2024 and November 19, 2024.
Please note that, since the first Tuesday in November 2024 (November 5) falls on the same day as the General Municipal Election, Napa Municipal Code Section 2.04.050 would require the regular meeting be held on the next business day which would land on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. As noted above, the attached resolution will cancel the regular meeting on November 6, 2024.
The attached resolution also identifies City Holidays, which are the dates that the office of the City Clerk is not open to the general public.
Staff requests adoption of the resolution, to implement the 2024 Calendar for Regular City Council Meetings and City Holidays as presented, or direction to staff as to the City Council's desired revisions.
