Amendment to Agreement for Priority Dispatch System
LABEL
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute on behalf of the City an amendment to Agreement No. C2021-110 with Priority Dispatch Corporation for the Priority Dispatch System, in the increased amount of $37,000 for a total contract amount not to exceed $367,000.
Body
DISCUSSION:
Priority Dispatch Corporation implemented the Priority Dispatch System ProQA in June 2022. The system has and continues to provide an industry high standard delivery of Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD). Priority Dispatch Corporation has provided a high level of support, and the Dispatch Center utilizes Quality Assurance Review services from Priority Dispatch.
On May 4, 2021 the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute a five (5) year agreement in a not-to-exceed amount of $330,000.
The 911 Communications Manager has identified that an amendment to the agreement is needed to provide continued system support/call review services and recommends the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to increase the total not-to-exceed amount from $330,000 to $367,000 by adding $37,000.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS:
Funding for this agreement is available within the budget allocation for the Police Department as follows:
Total not to exceed FY 24/25:
10021400 (PD Dispatch)-53210 (Professional Services)
10021400 (PD Dispatch)-53250 (Software Subscription)
CEQA:
The 9-1-1 Communications Manager has determined that the Recommended Action described in this Agenda Report is not subject to CEQA, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060 (c).
