Adopt a resolution Amending the City Classification Plan by Adopting the Updates to the Classification Specification Revisions for Senior Development Project Coordinator.

DISCUSSION:
The Human Resources Department and Community Development Department prepared updates to the attached classification specification for Senior Development Project Manager in preparation for the recruitment. The current classification specification was last updated in 2014 and is in need of a few modifications for enhanced clarification for the incoming employee. We are in the process of recruiting the position, but believe it is important to update the classification specification to reflect the changes over time.
Edits to the classification specification are recommended to enhance the Distinguishing Characteristics, Essential Duties, Knowledge, Abilities, and broaden the experience and education sections. The salary for the Senior Development Project Coordinator is aligned with Senior Planner. A salary study was also conducted and showed that the current salary was within our +/-5% citywide market threshold. No salary adjustment is needed at this time.

FINANCIAL IMPACTS:
No additional funding is required beyond that already allocated and approved in the City budget.
