Adopt a resolution approving an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2018/19 budget for FEMA Public Assistance grant funds received for the City’s 2017 Wildfire Emergency Response.

DISCUSSION:
On March 26, 2019, the City received a Notice of Obligation and Payment from FEMA for the City’s Emergency Response (10/8/17 to 11/7/17) to the October 2017 fires. The total federal share currently obligated for this project is $175,427. The funds received were for police and non-safety staff overtime and costs associated with equipment and materials used in the emergency response.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS:
Approval of the recommended action will positively impact the General Fund by offsetting costs incurred for the 2017 Wildfire emergency response. The following budget appropriations are requested for the FY2018/19 budget:
