Recommendation
Appoint a City Council Voting Delegate and Alternate to the League of California Cities Annual Business Meeting.

DISCUSSION:
The League of California Cities’ Annual Conference will be held October 16 - 18, 2019 in Long Beach, California. At the League’s Annual Business Meeting, scheduled on the last day of the conference, voting delegates from the state’s cities consider and act on resolutions that establish League policy.
Vice Mayor Sedgley and Councilmembers Gentry, Luros, and Alessio are scheduled to attend the conference.
To participate in the establishment of League policy, City Council must designate a voting delegate to participate in the vote. At their discretion, City Council may also appoint up to two alternates, one of whom may vote in the event the designated voting delegate is unavailable.
The City Clerk must provide the delegate information to the League no later than Friday, October 4, 2019.
