Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a one-year contract amendment for Public Safety Dispatching Services between the City of Napa and the American Canyon Fire Protection District (ACFPD).

DISCUSSION:
The Napa City Police Department Communications Center is the primary answering point for all 911 emergency calls for the City of Napa, American Canyon, Town of Yountville and all unincorporated areas of Napa County.
ACFPD currently contracts for Public Safety Dispatching Services with the City of Napa under City Agreement No. C2013 298 (ACFPD Agreement No. 2013-04) effective July 1, 2013. ACFPD originally contracted with City of Napa for Dispatch Services in March 2011. The recommended action is to approve a one-year contract amendment, for a continuation of services through June 30, 2020.
The proposed amendment identifies the compensation paid by the ACFPD be 1.2% of the FY 2019/2020 budgeted cost of the Communications Center. 1.2% represents the total calls for service attributed to ACFPD of the overall total calls for service of the Communications Center in calendar year 2018.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS:
The proposed one-year amendment increases the cost to the ACFPD for this service from $69,596 to $72,032 or an increase of $2,436 for FY19/20.
CEQA:
The Chief of Police has determined that the Recommended Action described in this Agenda Report is not subject to CEQA, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c).
