Recommendation

 

Appoint a City Council Voting Delegate and Alternate to the League of California Cities Annual Business Meeting, for the Annual Conference & Expo - October 7 -9, 2020.

DISCUSSION:

The League of California Cities’ Annual Conference will be held virtually during October 7 - 9, 2020.  At the League’s Annual Business Meeting, scheduled on the last day of the conference, voting delegates from the state’s cities consider and act on resolutions that establish League policy.

 

Councilmembers Alessio, Luros, Sedgley, Vice Mayor Gentry, and Mayor Techel are scheduled to attend the virtual conference.

 

To participate in the establishment of League policy, City Council must designate a voting delegate to participate in the vote.  City Council may also appoint an alternate who may vote in the event the designated voting delegate is unavailable.

 

The City Clerk must provide the delegate information to the League no later than Friday, September 30, 2020.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACTS:

None.

The City Clerk has determined that the recommended action described in this agenda report is not subject to CEQA, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c).
