Proclaim April 2022 as Blue Ribbon - National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

DISCUSSION:

This proclamation was requested by the City of Napa Police Department in recognition of the importance of families and communities working together to strengthen our Napa Valley families to prevent child abuse and neglect. Through this public/private partnership, members of the Napa Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) provide prevention services, family education, and support services to help protect our Napa community's children and their families with a common goal to foster an environment for our families to thrive.

 

Michele Grupe, Executive Director of the COPE Family Center, Jennifer Gonzales, Chief of Police of the Napa Police Department, and members of the Napa Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) will be present to accept the proclamation.
