Approve the second reading and final passage, and adopt an ordinance amending Napa Municipal Code Title 5 to repeal Chapter 5.24 “Farmers’ Markets”.

DISCUSSION:

This is the Second Reading and Final Adoption of an ordinance amending Napa Municipal Code Title 5 to repeal Chapter 5.24 “Farmers’ Markets”.  The introduction and First Reading was held at the Regular City Council meeting on April 19, 2022.  If approved the Ordinance will become effective thirty days following adoption.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACTS:

The revenue from Farmers’ Markets operating on public property will be identified in specific License Agreements and a business license will be required by the organization which is certified and permitted to operate a Farmers’ Market.  

 

CEQA:

At their regular meeting on April 19, 2022, City Council determined that the Recommended Action is exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301, which exempts the operation of, and minor alterations to, existing facilities.
