Receive a presentation by the Napa Sonoma ADU Center’s Director, Renee Schomp.

DISCUSSION:

The Napa Sonoma ADU Center was launched approximately two years ago to provide resources to Napa and Sonoma County homeowners interested in creating accessory dwelling units on their properties.  It was sparked from a collaboration between the City of Napa, County of Napa, and the Napa Valley Community Foundation through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Invest Health Initiative. 

 

The ADU Center is operated under the fiscal-sponsorship of the Napa Valley Community Foundation in coordination with the Community Foundation of Sonoma County and in partnership with several local jurisdictions, including the City of Napa.  The ADU Center provides homeowners with many great tools, including an ADU calculator, webinars, information on the specific ADU regulations for each jurisdiction, and feasibility assessments. The ADU Center also recently partnered with Redwood Credit Union on an innovative construction loan product.  In May, the ADU Center will be launching pre-approved standard ADU plans in collaborating jurisdictions, including the City of Napa.

 

Renee Schomp, the ADU Center’s Director, will provide a presentation updating the City Council about the ADU Center and its services.
